Some of Sherry‘s creatures may appear as chickens—a subtle shift in translation. In traditional Persian painting, a central motif is Gol-o-Morgh, where morgh (bird) is depicted in relation to gol (flower) as an expression of love and devotion. Sherry draws from this lineage, but transforms the bird into the literal translation of morgh: a chicken.
