This body of work brings together several ongoing projects that deal with personal struggle and larger social conditions. Since arriving in Berlin, I have been collecting my grocery receipts; almost all of them contain some form of unhealthy food, which I highlight with a marker. While rooted in my own experience with eating disorders, the project reflects how mental health is shaped by societal norms and economic pressure. Over time, the printed text on the receipts fades, leaving only the highlighted marks, traces of choices and circumstances. Alongside this, „Bad Love“ began as a collaborative bookbinding project and evolved into a series of objects, including T-shirts and sculptural pieces. Another work maps out reasons for war through paired diagram with a collage of cards collected from other artists’ exhibitions. Some works take the form of experimental sculptures, combining textile and clay. The soft vs concrete resembles fragments of a body, something once part of a creature or human, hanging or collapsed. I use these materials to explore form and atmosphere.
